Teslamodel X Vs Audie
The Audi e-tron forgoes outright performance and focuses on a more serene EV experience. Comfortable, spacious, and available with loads of modern tech amenities, the e-tron looks and feels every bit as futuristic as the Tesla. But the Tesla offers far greater range than the Audi and provides thrilling acceleration the e-tron can’t match.
Fuel Economy And Real
Among other similarly-sized all-electric SUVs, the Model X boasts the highest MPGe ratings from the EPA. Long Range models earned ratings of 109 city, 101 highway, and 105 MPGe combined. Even the Plaid model, which sacrifices some efficiency for faster acceleration, outperforms key rivals such as the Jaguar I-Pace and Audi e-Tron SUVs in this metric. For more information about the Model X’s fuel economy, visit the EPA’s website.

How Much Is A Tesla Model Y
Tesla reports sales of its Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover as one number, so we don’t know which is more popular. That said, the more recently introduced Model Y may have become more popular last year than the original Model 3, despite its steeper $58,990 starting price . Both of the Ys two available trim levels are dual-motor AWD models.
$81,190 |

Optional paint colors vary in price from $1,000 to $2,000 on both trims. A set of 20-inch Induction wheels are a $2,000 option on the Long Range, and 21-inch “Uberturbine” wheels come standard on the Performance model. Tesla offers a standard all black interior or a $1,000 black and white faux leather option. Autopilot is, of course, standard and adding the Full Self-Driving Capability is now an extra $12,000. A seven-seat interior is a $3,000 option on the Long Range, but it’s not available on the Performance. Lastly, you can also get the Model Y with a tow hitch for an extra $1,000.
With destination, a loaded Long Range model costs $80,190, while going all out on a loaded Performance model costs $81,190.
Interior Comfort And Cargo
A stark and nearly buttonless interior design is classic Tesla. The driver faces a digital gauge display and a unique yoke-style steering controller, which is often frustrating to use and difficult to get used to. Also unique is the Model X’s windshield/glass roof that runs seamlessly from the base of the hood and up-and-over the front-seat passengers for a nearly uninterrupted view of what’s ahead and what’s above. Despite these whiz-bang features, the Model X’s cabin leaves us wanting, especially considering its price can easily break the six-figure barrier, with non-descript air vents, misaligned panels, and flat-backed seats that don’t offer enough adjustments.

What Is Tesla Autopilot
Autopilot is part safety feature, part James Bond-level car tech. It uses cameras that are strategically placed, allowing the car to do things like keep in the centre of a road lane, change lanes, and be more adaptive while in cruise control. At a basic level that will allow adaptive cruise control and steering, while Autopilot Enhanced also allows automatic lane changes, parking and Summon .
The goal of Autopilot is to eventually lead to autonomous driving. Starting in October 2016, every car Tesla produced came with the inherent hardware to use Autopilot. By 2019 it was standard.
Tesla continues to push update options, with more enhanced self-driving features, the latest of which include integration with navigation – so the car knows where you’re going. The latest updates aim to deliver Autopilot control around city streets.
Tesla Prices Novel Model X Suv At $80000
Tesla Motors’ long-awaited Model X, an electric-powered, long-range crossover with upward-opening second-row doors, has been priced at $80,000 before delivery charges.
That puts it $5,000 more than the lowest-priced version of the breakthrough sedan that turned Tesla into one of the most closely watched tech companies, the Model S.
Pricing was released Monday in conjunction with a “configurator” for those who have ordered to let them choose their options.
As one might expect since it is larger, the base version of the Model X will be slightly slower than the Model S when it comes to performance. The SUV, which comes with all-wheel-drive, will clock in at zero to 60 miles per hour in 6 seconds, vs. 5.2 seconds for Model S. And because it’s bigger, it won’t quite have the same range, 220 miles per charge compared to 240 miles.
Delivery charges add another $1,200.
But the Model X is full of breakthroughs, including those rear doors that open upward in a way that avoids scraping against a vehicle parked next to it and a panoramic windshield.
The Model X is eligible for federal tax incentives of up to $7,500. There are some states that offer incentives, too, including California with up to $2,500. When an estimated $9,000 in gasoline savings over five years is factored in Tesla says the Model X, drops to $62,200, including destination charges.

The ultimate speed king is the Model X Performancecoming in with 305 miles of range, and a scorching 0-60 time of 2.6 seconds, which is beyond supercar fast.
Produced in 2019 and 2020, a used Model X Performance doesnt have the same level of discount as some of the older Model X vehicles, but it is the most modern and the fastest, and stillthere is some savings to be had vs. buying new.

Moving on to the 100 kWh battery variants, we have the Model X 100D, which is the longest-range Model X of the 100 kWh namesake vehicles clocking in at 295 miles of range. Also impressive is the 0-60 time, which clocks in at about 4.6 seconds.
The Model X 100D was also produced for a total of four years, from 2016 2019. If youre trying to score a deal on a nice, used Model X and range is one of the most important things to you, it may be worth looking at the selection of Model X 100D vehicles on the used Tesla market.
Cost To Charge On A Tesla Supercharger

Since Superchargers pull DC power directly from the grid, they are much more efficient and can offer much faster speeds, albeit at a higher price.
The 100 kWh battery on both trims of the Model X costs roughly $22.95 to fully charge from 0-100% via DCFC. This number accounts for a 95% battery efficiency as well.
The Long Range Model X comes in at around $0.064 per mile and $6.37 per 100 miles, while the Plaid trim can cost about $0.068 per mile, or $6.75 for 100 miles of range.

Model X P100dl The Performance King
Pushing the P100D even further, we have the P100DL, which has the Ludicrous acceleration upgrade. This drops the 0-60 time to approximately 2.8 seconds with the same range rating of 289 miles.
The Model X P100DL was made from 2016 2019 . As with the P100D, because there are a few older years of this variant, its possible to find one for a decent price while still maintaining most of the acceleration of the current Model X Performance, which is an incredible bargain.
Teslamodel X Vs Teslamodel Y
The Model Y offers much of the same ownership experience as the Model X but on a slightly smaller scale. It’s not quite as roomy as the larger Model X, but it does provide nimbler handling, better maneuverability and good-old-fashioned front-hinged rear doors. Both have access to Tesla’s impressive Supercharger network.

By gathering the average residential energy costs in the US from the Energy Information Administration , we have calculated an estimated cost to charge at home or at a DC Fast Charger.
Purchase Process: Buying A Tesla Is Different
Tesla is unique and not just because of their branding and design. When you buy a Tesla, regardless of the model or trim level, you work directly with Tesla, not a third-party sales force as you would with traditional car brands
In fact, you can buy a Tesla remotely from the comfort of your home. Just go to their website, customize the vehicle of your choice, place your order, and wait for it to be delivered. There are no haggling, pushy salesmen, or dealership gimmicks.
While Tesla doesn’t have dealerships, they do have showrooms for those seeking an “in-store” experience. There, you can go for a test drive, speak with a specialist, or customize your car. But even at the showroom, you still place the order using the official Tesla website.
The website will show you two different prices listed for each car:
- Potential savings
The purchase price is the real sticker price of the car. It’s also the price that we’ve used when discussing Tesla prices throughout this blog.
The potential savings price, which is shown to website users by default, is your estimated cost of ownership after EV incentives and potential gas savings. We’re not fans of prices being presented this way as it doesn’t reflect the amount you will actually have to pay to buy the car. Plus, incentive eligibility and gas savings can vary significantly from person to person.

What Are Tesla Superchargers
Tesla Superchargers are charging stations that have popped up all over the globe in the past 10 years. It’s the electric car equivalent of a gas station. While users can charge their car at home with wall-mounted chargers, Superchargers can recharge a near-dead 85kWh battery in about 70 minutes or get it to 50 per cent in 20 minutes.
Tesla cars ordered before January 2017 can use the Supercharger stations for free, while all other cars are allotted 400kWh per year for free. After that users will have a small fee, but it’s still nothing compared to what filling up a tank of gas costs.
Tesla more recently introduced V3 Superchargers, which will increase the charging to 250kW, potentially halving the charge time for compatible vehicles. Tesla’s cars are also compatible with other chargers , but Superchargers are exclusive to Tesla cars.
Where This Vehicle Ranks
The Plaid model with its three electric motors is sure to deliver brutal acceleration, but it’s mighty expensive. And its 335-mile estimated driving range isn’t as long as the less expensive base model, so we’d save the cash. The base Model X offers up to 351 miles of estimated driving range and still feels mighty quick thanks to the immediacy of the electric motors’ power delivery.

What Does It Cost To Service And Maintain A Tesla
Tesla vehicles have lower maintenance costs than conventional gas-powered cars. The reason for this is simple: EVs have fewer moving parts than gas engines, so there is less need for service and repairs.
In fact, Tesla updated its guidance a couple of years ago to let drivers know that annual servicing isnt necessary. The company now recommends service only when a part is scheduled for checking or replacement.
Many Tesla owners say their only out-of-pocket maintenance costs within the first two years of ownership were related to their tires. This is mostly just periodic tire rotation, but some drivers said they needed to replace their tires early due to excessive wear and tear brought on by aggressive driving.
Projected five-year maintenance costs for a Model 3 come to about $980 total, assuming you change the parts yourself using Teslas DIY guides.
