How Much Does The Tesla Truck Cost

The Cybertruck Is Still Undergoing Changes

How much does Cyber Truck Cost? [TESLA]

The good news for those who are fans of Teslas continued push for innovation is the Cybertruck is still having improvements made to its design. At a shareholder meeting that took place on August 4, 2022, Elon Musk shared that there are new specifications and new additions to the production version of the Cybertruck that have previously not been shared or discussed online.

Some of these changes are battery changes while others are changes to the actual car design itself, including adding different headlights, windshield wipers, and a possible size change. You would be glad to know that the signature stainless steel body still remains.

Update: In a recent interview with Tesla Owners Silicon Valley, Elon Musk confirmed that the Cybertruck design has been finalized and “locked” and Tesla is planning for a start of production date in 2023. However, this start of production date has yet to be confirmed exactly.

  • Up to 500 miles of electric range
  • 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds with fastest model

UPDATE: On October 14, 2021 Tesla updated its Cybertruck order page and removed specs and pricing with no explanation. As of Jan. 18, 2022, nothing has changed.

The reality of Teslas all-electric pickup truck is more bizarre than we could have imagined. Rolling onto a stage at Teslas design headquarters in Hawthorne, California, many in the audience thought the truck was a joke. Its no joke. The Cybertrucks stainless-steel, A-frame body is so distractingly odd that its easy to overlook the trucks more substantive details. Planned for production starting in 2021, the Tesla Cybertruck promises up to 500 miles of electric range, a maximum tow rating of 14,000 pounds, and a base price under $40,000. If Elon and crew can deliver what theyve promised, the Cybertruck could be a hit.

Where Will It Be Built

In early 2020, Tesla announced it needed to build a second factory to manufacture the Cybertruck. Its out of space in its Fremont, California, facility, and it recently hinted it wants to leave the Golden State after a public spat with authorities over whether and when to reopen the plant. The company confirmed the Cybertruck plant would be somewhere in the central United States, and insiders familiar with the ongoing negotiations anonymously revealed the two finalists are Austin, Texas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. No formal decision has been made as of writing.

Since it started building the lowish-cost Model 3 by the tens of thousands, hitting its stride in the back half of 2018, Tesla has relied on volume to periodically break into the black, sending Musk on a long, painful slog through production hell. A vehicle line that delivers more money per vehicle could ease that pressure. As with luxury sedans and SUVs, IHS Markit analyst Stephanie Brinley says, people will pay more for more space and more capability.

On the other hand, public charging infrastructure is hardly developed in the middle of the country where pickups are especially popular. As an example, Chargepoint, the nations largest EV charging provider, has more than 500 stations in San Francisco and fewer than 150 in North and South Dakota combined. Tesla has just eight supercharger stations in South Dakota and none in its northern neighbour.

How Much Is A Tesla Model S

How Much Is The Tesla Semi Going To Cost

The Model S recently received a major update that included some tweaks to its exterior styling and a whole new interior. As such, prices have gone up. The new Model S starts at $94,990 and comes with two motors, all-wheel drive, and a range of 405 miles. The new tri-motor Plaid model with over 1,000 horsepower starts at $129,990. The Plaid+ model that Tesla had early announced has been cancelled because, according to Elon Musk, the regular Plaid is amazing enough.

$152,190 396 Miles

The Tesla Model S comes with several wheel and color options, the most expensive being $2,500 for Red Multi-Coat paint and $4,500 Arachnid wheels measuring 21 inches in diameter.

As on other Teslas, Autopilot comes standard, though full self-driving capability is now a $12,000 option. Fully loaded, the base Tesla Model S costs $117,190 and the Plaid costs $152,190, both with a $1,200 destination charge included.

Is The Cybertruck Better Than The Rivian R1t

The Cybertruck shouldn’t be able to go that fast and tow that much. Well, that’s what everybody thought. Enter the amazing Rivian R1T. To say the R1T has stolen some of the Cybertruck’s thunder would be the understatement of the century. First, the Rivian can be configured to tow a ridiculous amount of weight, 11,000 lbs to be exact. Not only this but the Rivian can also be optioned to accelerate to 60 mph in ~3 seconds. If this seems like a declaration of war on the part of Rivian, it’s really not. You see, the Rivian actually exists.

Tesla promised the craziest stats in the world mixed with amazing utilityâbut Rivian delivered all of this in a truck you can actually see cruising around in the real world. After the launch of the Rivian, with its quad-motor AWD, the crazy numbers that the Cybertruck promised don’t seem that crazy anymore. It will be interesting to see if Tesla alters these numbers and delivers something even crazier that destroys the R1T.

Tesla Cybertruck Price :

Tesla Cybertruck

Tesla recently pulled a bunch of information about the Cybertruck from its website, including specifications and pricing. However, we still know what Tesla said the truck will cost.

The single-motor Cybertruck, the latest expected to go into production, will start at $39,990 $5,000 less than the cheaper Model 3. Meanwhile the dual motor model, complete with all-wheel drive, was priced at $49,990.

The tri-motor Cybertruck, originally the flagship model, is set to clock in at $69,990. Pricing for the newly-announced quad-motor variant is still unknown, as it never appeared on the Tesla website.

All four models will come with basic Autopilot as standard, but a fully self-driving option will be available for an additional fee. This package currently sells for $12,000, though we expect the Cybertruck to be eligible for a $199-a-month FSD subscription as well.

However, given that the price of the full self-driving Autopilot has increased by $6,000 since July 2019, its likely on track for further price increases. Elon Musk himself has said as much on multiple occasions .

The Cybertruck was also due to arrive in the UK. However, Musk said the truck is currently being built to US specifications, since trying to tailor it to every country would be impossible. U.K. pricing and launch details are still completely unknown.

Tesla Ceo Says A Lot Has Changed Since The Cybertruck’s 2019 Unveiling So The Specs And The Pricing Will Be Different

Elon Musk made some interesting comments about the Tesla Cybertruck prices and specs at the company’s “Cyber Roundup” annual meeting of shareholders on August 4.

More specifically, Tesla CEO said that prices and specifications of the Cybertruck production model will change compared to those announced at the concept’s unveiling in November 2019.

This should come as no surprise for anyone given how much the world has changed since the Cybertruck was first revealed. The pandemic and lockdowns hit just months later, causing major supply chain disruptions, shortages of semiconductors and other parts, and price increases on basically everything.

Add to that the raging inflation most of the world is seeing at the moment and the military conflict in Ukraine and it’s pretty clear that the Cybertruck can’t be priced from just under $40,000 as Tesla originally announced in 2019. Here’s what Elon Musk had to say about Cybertruck pricing after an investor asked when Tesla would announce prices for its electric truck during the Q& A session at the shareholder meeting yesterday.

Can You Save Money By Charging Your Tesla With Solar

Tesla Semi Truck Will Cost HOW MUCH??

The 2020 cost of solar per kWh for residential areas was about 12.8 cents per kWh, according to The Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy. Thats about 13 cents per kWh, nearly a full cent less than the estimated average cost of electricity in the U.S. This means you could save more money by charging your Tesla with solar panels, though it could depend on where you live. For example, it might be different in California compared to New Jersey.

Chuck’s Turn With Beta 106922

Last month Musk tweeted: “Car will move on tighter gaps as we enhance NN velocity predictions for crossing traffic. 10.69.3 next month has some step-change improvements.”

In a separate tweet last month, he committed to the vehicle speeding up more quickly in high-speed traffic situations. The program will better navigate the unprotected left turn in high-speed cross-traffic situations. The latest update states that FSD will use “the appropriate speed profile when approaching and exiting median crossover regions.” Basically, the car will speed up much quicker when it must get in front of traffic that is moving fast, so we expect Tesla to make further improvements in this area.

This latest update should make the overall FSD experience even smoother. With all the expected improvements in FSD Beta 10.69.3, we can’t wait to see what it’ll offer. Beta 10.69.3 is still expected this month.

Elon Musk started Tesla’s AI Day 2022 by saying, “I want to set some expectations with respect to our Optimus Robot,” just before the doors opened behind him. A robot walked out, waved at the audience, and did a little dance. Admittedly a humble beginning, he explained, “the Robot can actually do a lot more than what we just showed you. We just didn’t want it to fall on its face.” Musk’s vision for the Tesla Robot, “Optimus is going to be incredible in five years, ten years mind-blowing.” The CEO said other technologies that have changed the world have plateaued the Robot is just starting.

Will Cybertruck Be Released In The Uk

The Cybertruck was also supposed to be coming to the U.K. However, Musk said that since trying to make the vehicle suitable for every country would be impossible, it is only being built to U.S. car specifications currently. This means that the U.K. pricing and launch details are still completely unknown.

It Isnt Clear Exactly How Much The Cybertruck Will Cost

RELATED: Is Tesla Designing New Cybertrucks Before the First One Is Out?

While Musk didnt say exactly how much the Tesla Cybertruck would cost once it finally reached production, its probably safe to say that it will be more than $39,900. In Teslas recent shareholders call, Musk confirmed that the price of the Tesla Cybertruck would have to change. He said that things like inflation have made the price of the Cybertruck go up.

Still, Musk has complete confidence in the Cybertruck. As The Verge noted, Musk called Teslas truck one hell of a product and a damn fine machine.

Tesla Cybertruck Pricing To Start At $39900

How Much Will The Tesla Pickup Truck Cost

All the pricing, performance data, and on-sale date for Teslas truck

Although full-size pickup trucks typically transact for about $48,000, the Tesla Cybertruck will go on sale with a projected starting price of $39,900. And for all you, “Yeah, but…” types out there, that pricing does not account for deductions for $7,500 government tax rebates, because Tesla has exhausted its allocation.

That starting price will be for a single-motor, rear-drive truck with 250 miles of range, a 6.5-second 0-60 time with a top speed of 110 mph, and a 7,500-pound towing capacity.

Forking over $49,900 will get you a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup, with 300 miles of range, a 4.5-second 0-60 time with a top speed of 120 mph, and a 10,000-pound towing capacity.

The top trim, at $69,900, brings a tri-motor, all-wheel drive, 500 miles of range, a 2.9-second 0-60 time, with a top speed of 130 mph, and a 14,000-pound tow rating.

All three versions will have a 3,500-pound payload.

If you want to reserve one of these vehicles, Tesla requires only a $100 deposit, unlike past vehicles, which required a much heftier down payment. According to Tesla’s website: “You will be able to complete your configuration as production nears in late 2021. Tri Motor AWD production is expected to begin in late 2022.”

New Tesla Cybertruck Exterior And Colors

In June 2022, Elon Musk confirmed that the Tesla Cybertruck’s exterior design was “finally locked” but we haven’t seen much evidence of the wedge shape being comprehensively altered. In late 2019, industry experts said that the angular shape posed massive risks to pedestrian safety. One has to assume that Tesla has toned down the design since then, and it was forced to add traditional side mirrors as required by law.

The basic shape we’ve seen remains utterly imposing, if not particularly attractive. In the years since the Tesla Cybertruck pickup was first shown, the industry has embraced “regular-looking” EVs more readily, whereas the Cybertruck looks like an alien from another time.

Expect features like in-bed storage, detachable wing mirrors, and ultra-slim LEDs in front, while the brand’s armor glass promises high “damage tolerance” – so long as you don’t throw a steel ball at it. The Tesla Cybertruck’s colors aren’t known yet, but the brand doesn’t offer outlandish color palettes so will likely stick to the simple blacks, whites, and grays its other models wear. Given the body is supposedly stainless steel, you’ll also possibly be able to buy one without paint.

The Tesla Semi At A Glance

RELATED: How Much Does It Cost to Charge a Tesla?

Tesla originally announced its Semi would have a range of 500 miles on a full charge. The EV maker also claimed its new batteries could reach an 80 percent charge in about 30 minutes and run for an additional 400 miles. At the time, Tesla was using a bunch of Model 3 electric motors to power the prototype Tesla Semi. It would use the Tesla Megacharger, a solar-powered charging station.

As of this writing, Tesla has three Semi offerings: a rig with a 300-mile range and another with a 500-mile range. The third model is called the Founders Series and has no specs listed. However, it seems every model will pack four independent motors, boast instant traction control, and offer an enhanced Autopilot feature.

One of the most amazing aspects of the Tesla Semi is it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 20 seconds. Not only that, but it can also do so with 80,000 pounds hitched to it. Were not sure how that benefits anyone, especially considering the possible load shift. Teslas website boasts of the Semis relatively low center of gravity for improved rollover protection. Engineers designed it with a center driving position, giving drivers maximum visibility and control.

The first Semi units base price is listed as $150,000, while the longer-range units MSRP is $180,000. A base reservation costs $20,000 for both base models. The Founders Series is listed at $200,000, with a reservation cost of the same amount.

How Much Is A Semi Truck: Buying New Or Used

When shopping for a used or new semi truck or commercial vehicle, there are more factors to consider than the price, such as options, features, gas mileage, reliability, and other elements that can affect your new investments Real Cost of Ownership .

Pros of Buying NewBuying a new vehicle is about peace of mind. New trucks have a much lower risk of breaking down soon after purchase. If a breakdown occurs, your new semi truck typically comes with a full powertrain warranty that covers any issues with your engine, transmission, driveshaft, axles, differential, and other parts.

Buying new means being able to choose from any manufacturers full range of latest-year models, specs, and options, enabling you to customize your rig to your specifications to suit your business.

For example, a manufacturer may offer various day cabs and sleeper trucks , each with different engines, transmissions, interior features , and other options.

Cons of Buying NewWhile a new rig is reliable and can be customized to your exact needs, the primary disadvantage is the cost.

Unless you can afford to buy your new truck outright, you will need to factor monthly payments into your expenses until you have paid for your new investment in full. These costs can potentially match or surpass a new companys revenue.

The Tesla Cybertruck is one of the most hyped products ever. Elon Musk has been stoking people’s interest in the Cybertruck for years, especially after the “armored glass” fiasco. The problem is that it’s been almost three years since the Cybertruck was introduced, and it’s still missing from the EV pickup segment.

Rivian and Ford have wreaked havoc in its absence and taken over the niche electric pickup market. Which begs the question: When will the Cybertruck come to market, and how much will it cost?
