Volvo Xc40 P8 Recharge
“We loved the XC40 from the get-go but had a few reservations about the powertrains. Not any more. In battery-electric guise the XC40s worthier attributes the thoughtful packaging, sense of well-being and design are augmented by a remarkable new turn of speed and handling smarts. Like the Tesla Model 3 , the XC40 P8 makes an almost irresistible case for electrification.”
/10 Electric Ford Mustang Mach
Despite the ill-fitting name , the Mustang Mach-E has turned out to be quite a good electric car. The Mach-E is available with either rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive and has approximate ranges of between 250 and 380 miles depending on trim level.
The Mustang Mach-E is also available in GT trim, which gives it 480 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque . The Mach-E won the EV of the Year award from Car and Driver, as opposed to the Tesla Model 3, as it had superior handling and road feel. While it is a great rival, it still has a stupid name.
/13 Bmw I: Stilted Miles But Sporty Driving
It’s cheaper than the Audi and Jaguar offerings, at about $45,000 a pop. The downside is a much shorter range of only 153 miles on a single charge, though this can be extended with a gas-powered range extender to 200 miles. It sort of spoils the purpose, or does it? It’s kitschy looking, drives the way a good BMW does and has a rather sporty acceleration at that.

/13 Kia Niro Ev: Powerful Electric Motors
The Kia Niro never really managed to be all that impressive, a fact that the Niro EV turned around on its head. The 239-mile range and a price just shy of $40,000 makes the Niro EV a great electric car to own, especially with all its electric strength. It drives zippy and the SAE combo charger reduces plug-in time as well.
How Kelley Blue Book Rates Cars

Rather than pulling random numbers out of the air or off some meaningless checklist, KBBs editors rank a vehicle to where it belongs in its class. Before any car earns its KBB rating, it must prove itself to be better than the other cars its competing against as it tries to get you to spend your money buying or leasing.
Our editors drive and live with a given vehicle. We ask all the right questions about the interior, the exterior, the engine and powertrain, the ride and handling, the features, the comfort, and of course, about the price. Does it serve the purpose for which it was built?
We take each vehicle we test through the mundane parking, lane-changing, backing up, cargo space and loading as well as the essential acceleration, braking, handling, interior quiet and comfort, build quality, materials quality, reliability.

How Did We Choose These Electric Cars
I looked at MPGe, affordability, charging cost, acceleration time, power, and innovation in terms of out-of-the-box features that set one car apart from another. One or more of these factors might mean more to you than the others, so I tried to cast a wide net for specs, but not too wide that you were drowning in the details, like available colors or wheel size.

Can Other Electric Cars Charge At Tesla
There is no requirement to own a Tesla to use the charging station. But heres the catch: you can only charge your electric vehicle at Tesla destination chargers, which are not the big Tesla superchargers located in malls like Eastview Mall.
The Tesla Supercharger network will soon be available to other electric vehicle manufacturers. Most other electric vehicle brands allow you to charge your vehicle with Tesla destination chargers, but you must have an adaptor to do so. Tesla Supercharger stations, on the other hand, do not work with your new Ford Mustang Mach-E, so Tesla will add equipment to enable non-Tesla vehicles to charge up at these stations. This year, Tesla launched a pilot program in Europe that allowed other EV manufacturers to connect to its network. Consumer Reports estimates that parts and labor will cost about $2,000.

Pros And Cons Of Buying A Tesla
Buying a battery electric vehicle is a big decision, no matter what brand you have in mind. And for some drivers, Teslas are the must-have model because of their iconic look, their name recognition, and their extensive charging network.
But as with any car, there are some downsides. Lets take a look at some of the pros and cons of buying a Tesla, followed by some notable Tesla alternatives.
Can Non Tesla Cars Use Tesla Charging Stations

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as it depends on the make and model of the non-Tesla car in question. However, in general, most non-Tesla cars are not compatible with Tesla charging stations. This is due to the fact that Tesla charging stations use a proprietary charging connector that is not compatible with the charging connectors used by most other car manufacturers.

How Much Co2 Do Electric Cars Produce
We have all seen advertisements on television claiming that electric cars are battery powered, hence are considered Zero Emission. This is an ingenious strategy major companies follow to sell their products to the large scale public.
Not only is it entirely wrong, it is also quite possible that electric cars are worse than gasoline powered cars when it comes to greenhouse gas emissions on the long run.
In fact, the widely used term Zero Emission is misleading that its not a surprise so many companies manage to get away using it.
Everything aside, the main focus of the hour is How much CO2 do Electric Cars produce?

How Did We Choose These Affordable Evs
After writing about the changed considerations for the EV tax credit and looking at the manufacturers on that list, I decided to target both affordability and eligibility for the credit. I looked at different types of vehicles, including sedans and trucks, and in the honorable mentions at the end of this article, I even highlight a plug-in hybrid minivan that qualifies for the credit — the Chrysler Pacifica PHEV. I wanted to ensure that the vehicles on this best list met the standards set by the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 and that they had quality features at an affordable price point.
What Is The Lifespan Of An Electric Car

The one that started it all, the big Tesla Model S sedan, still looks sharp more than a decade after it was first shown to the public . Credit the fact that it was worlds ahead of anything else back then, and that the slight visual tweaks to the car itself have allowed the Model S to keep aging gracefully while the market adapts to it, and not the other way around.
Still, if you want to avoid that musky baggage that the Tesla brand carries around, but demand a sedan thats big, fast, and electric, you have to ask yourself what it was that attracted you to the Model S sedan in the first place, and shop accordingly.

The Lucid Air Dream EditionRange was the first EV to officially crack the 500-mile range number on the EPAs testing cycle , and it absolutely looked the business doing so. In the same way that the Tesla Model S looked like the future in 2009, the Lucid Air Dream looks like future in 2022.

Finally, you might be asking yourself why I chose the EQE and not the larger, range-topping Mercedes EQS. Thats because the EQE and the Tesla Model S are nearly identically-sized, at 197 long and within 2 of each other in width and height. The EQS is, simply, in another class.
